Thank you Donna this helps. When I submitted the photo to my camera clus they had me crop the beach area. I didn't think of lightening the wood under the pier. I like that. |

Yep...a sleepy lion. Someone told me once that to shoot wildlife there needs to be some action. A raptor on a fence is not always enough. I raptor on a fence eating a mouse is another thing. Sometimes sleepy lions are just that. Smile for the camera. Now if you could have put a mouse trapped under his paw? The photo does look a little soft and yes agree with Donna the color between the lion and the background is too similar. |

It looks like a beautiful ballet in the center. Not to copy Donna but I also love the swirling petals.

I would prefer the color version knowing this area of the colors they offer. Nice shot for how you had to do it. |

Nice grouping of pelicans. Hard to get detail in flight with the size lens used. Would have like something in the sky background so depth. Like the pelicans through. |
