Nice capture Christine. I Like the moment you captured your subject in. I also like how the bird and the roosting tree are sharp and the trees in the background are soft. One small thing, I keep focusing on the fly on his head. |

Fun Image, the story makes for a happy feeling. Nice composition and crop. I like the way you showed us textures, the course hair of the mane and the pattern of their soft winter coat. Good contrast against the green and yellow of the flowers. I would like to see more detail around their face and eyes. |

Wow Donald, where to begin with such a great photograph. Catchlight, very sharp, nice background, colors/texture on the bird and flowers, movement and the unwavering stare of determination on the face. I really like that we can see the feet. The leaf or stick in the background going through the subject is distracting. I have year round access to hummingbirds on our property, I'm yet to come anywhere close to this. Great job. |

Nice shot! I agree with the group, a crop just to the right of the hoof would make this strong image even stronger. Along with Sarita, I'm curious, do you have more of the cat in the original image? Nice shot David. |

Very cool bird and nice capture. I can totally sympathies, when a new subject appears I often get too excited to check my settings. That being said, very nice and steady capture. I would like to see the stork a little more left in the frame and crop up just below to where the feet would be. If the water was glassy the reflection would be more relevant in this shot. |

Beautiful image, catchlight in the eyes, texture of the feathers and on the branches along with shadows make for a very nice capture. For me, the composition was very critical in making this image so beautiful. The birds really stand out against the blue sky background, otherwise the bottom bee eater could have been lost in the green background. A minor critique, my eye is drawn to the light spot on the bottom just to the right of the branch. I agree with David, there are small hot spots on the lower bird. |

Hi Christine, thank you for the suggestion. You are correct, I also got off some shots @5.6 and 4.0 and the coyote did stand out nicely against the grass. |

Sherry, thank you for the nice comments. Yours and the groups suggestions are very helpful. The whole what to focus on in post processing hasn't quite clicked with me yet. I am looking forward to learning from future comments/suggestions. |

Thank you Sue for your comments and suggestions. Everyone in the group saw what I didn't with the eyes and texture, that's why I'm here. |
