Thank you Dan, my bad I did not include that I indeed had a CPL filter on the lens. I think since the sun in the overcast sky was backlighting the rock the CPL filter had a very limited effect. |

Very nice composition, and I agree the highlights could be adjusted to reveal more detail along with the contrast. I like the foreground and background bokeh. |

Very nice capture of the baldie. Since you were able to achieve critical focus through layers of branches you might try to clone out some of the more distracting ones, for instance the top right and left would be easy given the blank sky in the area. This would separate the subject more definitively. |

I agree with Dan, very hard subjects to capture, even with a longer focal length. You might try lightening the head of the subject to achieve increased detail and darkening the background. The other alternative in either PS or some other program is to enlarge the image and then crop. I like the composition with the maze of branches framing the subject. |
