I actually didn't like that composition when I was there. I felt it created two/three towers and I thought muddied the main subject. My thoughts was having the rock merge into the lighthouse it seems everything is just flowing up to to light itself and then out to the sky and sea. |

You have to have a tripod with you in order to use it. Which I didn't. |

I love the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. I spent some time there one day. They let you come and go all day, so I was there in the morning then after lunch and back again near closing. They had one Bear that was 800+ lbs. The enclosures were pretty nice and spacious. Nice photo. Technically good and a nice moment. |

So how did you like Steve Perry's workshop. He is one of the few people on the internet that I agree with/trust most of what he produces. I had a trip to Costa Rica cancelled due to COVID.
Nice job at 6400 ISO (did you use any noise reduction SW, like Topaz?) But its really sharp and you were able to lighten it up nicely. I recently purchased a 600mm f/4 D and its a beast just under 11 lbs. That and my D850 and battery grip is a load. I can hand hold for about 30 sec, before having to lower it for a rest. So the 800mm has to be be more. Did you have to pay extra baggage allowance with that lens?

So was Hector in attendance? He's completely switched to Sony. Nice perch they set up. You were able to freeze the extended wings, but just a hint of motion and also provide elements of the other two birds. Typically they tell you that 1/1600 is a slow as you want to go, but this worked nicely. As I was scrolling up I understood Isaac's comment of perhaps cropping a little of the top, but that was not a part of my first glance thoughts. |
