You are correct... If I moved any more to the right, there would be nothing but air. Not to mention there were about 100 photographers vying for a location. I really wanted the peninsula straight on in this photo, and to be able to see both sides of the upper U portion of the river, thus my choice of location. The one out cropping just happens to be part of the scene |

I think "The long and winding road" would be a good title also. Nice composition. You might try pushing the greens and yellows a little... Perhaps highlighting the right side of the tree and perhaps the lighter swath of grass just below it. Make it look like sunrise/set and the first/last rays of the sun hitting. |

Nice photo. It reminds me of a story where I posted a bird image and labeled it as a female cardinal, only to be chastised by many saying no its a Pyrrhuloxia! Never heard of that, but it made me figure out what a Pyrrhuloxia is. (even though I still don't know how to pronounce it) Well, its a very close cousin to the cardinal and they look a lot like a female cardinal except its beak is yellow, or at least that's how I tell them apart now. Nice catch light, and great detail and the background really allows the subject to stand out. |

Wow! This is one of those photos where its great to have your eyes go all over. Typically, you hear that you should pull the viewers eyes to one particular point, but this photo takes you on a great journey of detail, color, texture, and story and then circles back and does it all over. There are a couple nuances I might change, (subdue the fence/building in side windows) but I'm not the artist, just a viewer. Well done! |
