BTW Paul, the Rainbow and water vapor played all sorts of tricks with Luminosity masks and any saturation or Hue adjustments. Masking where the rainbow crosses snow banks was a problem. Enclosed RAW image |

I saw some familiar elements. I grew up in Santa Barbara area and the far mountains looked familiar. But now you tell me my inner-Trekkie has to come out! I do think Capt Kirk and a Lizard guy in the foreground might add to the overall image. I never knew that was near Palmdale otherwise I would have stopped on my many visits to the area. |

I liked what you did with the post processing, giving a little more definition to the clouds, cropping nicely, and the color change. The scene just saddens me as it shows how we use things and then just toss em... |

Well, I don't get many mornings like that in Texas, but I did get some in San Diego. (but then there would be 82 condos on the far bank) I like it for what it is. And yes I like the new LR and PS updates. I had always wanted more Hue control in local adjustments, and now I don't have to search around ACR as much. |

This brings back fond memories of my trip to Interlaken, Murren and Gimmelwald. There is nice color and contrast, focused well. I love that area. But then I ask "what's around the corner?" My only suggestion would have been, try to get a perspective where the building was not bigger than the mountain. I don't believe it was meant to be the main story, yet the size dominates the image. |

Great minds must think...? As I was looking at this, I just felt a little off and I said, what is the story and elements? Obviously the man and umbrella, but the crashing waves. Throw in a foggy background. What was the foreground doing for me? Not much... Then I read Paul's commit |

Actually, since I was the only one there... I did take as many steps to the left as possible. More than normal. |
