Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
33 Jul 20 Comment BTW Paul, the Rainbow and water vapor played all sorts of tricks with Luminosity masks and any saturation or Hue adjustments. Masking where the rainbow crosses snow banks was a problem. Enclosed RAW image Jul 9th
33 Jul 20 Comment I saw some familiar elements. I grew up in Santa Barbara area and the far mountains looked familiar. But now you tell me my inner-Trekkie has to come out! I do think Capt Kirk and a Lizard guy in the foreground might add to the overall image. I never knew that was near Palmdale otherwise I would have stopped on my many visits to the area. Jul 9th
33 Jul 20 Comment I liked what you did with the post processing, giving a little more definition to the clouds, cropping nicely, and the color change. The scene just saddens me as it shows how we use things and then just toss em... Jul 8th
33 Jul 20 Comment Well, I don't get many mornings like that in Texas, but I did get some in San Diego. (but then there would be 82 condos on the far bank) I like it for what it is. And yes I like the new LR and PS updates. I had always wanted more Hue control in local adjustments, and now I don't have to search around ACR as much. Jul 8th
33 Jul 20 Comment This brings back fond memories of my trip to Interlaken, Murren and Gimmelwald. There is nice color and contrast, focused well. I love that area. But then I ask "what's around the corner?" My only suggestion would have been, try to get a perspective where the building was not bigger than the mountain. I don't believe it was meant to be the main story, yet the size dominates the image. Jul 8th
33 Jul 20 Reply Great minds must think...? As I was looking at this, I just felt a little off and I said, what is the story and elements? Obviously the man and umbrella, but the crashing waves. Throw in a foggy background. What was the foreground doing for me? Not much... Then I read Paul's commit Jul 8th
33 Jul 20 Reply Actually, since I was the only one there... I did take as many steps to the left as possible. More than normal. Jul 8th
