Adelet, thank you for your input. Yes I took this photo long time ago, but digitally, although I lost the file and was left with an old print, so I had to scan to be able to publish it. I tried to make some adjustment in LR, but I was not pleased with it. I'm reviewing a book on LR to see if I find something I didn't know before. I will revisit this photo in the future. |

Love the effect of the slow shutter speed, yet not to slow to hide the water streams on the upper fall. There could be an improvement in cleaning up the water spots. I know, you can't avoid it. |

This could as well be anywhere in California or Oregon at this time of wild fires. Dramatic smoke billowing. I like the BW.

I see The impressionistic influence. You can see the palette strokes, perhaps what the judge didn't like was the heavy strokes vs. Manet lighter ones?
