Your shutter speed captured good variety in the water texture. |

I agree with the image compliments in the earlier comments, and enjoyed your "escaped captivity" speculation about its provenance. |

On camera flash has a bad reputation, but I agree with Vincent - it worked well on this subject. The uneven lighting emphasizes the interesting parts of the subject and eliminates the rest. |

I concur with the previous comments on framing. My recommendation is to expand, showing colors and textures in outer petals and a surrounding green background. |

Focus stacking in a breeze!! PSA should give you a DETERMINATION award. Your soft pedal contrast and color settings area good fit for this low key image. |

A very cooperative bee to wait for you to retrieve a camera and set up the shot, its presence gives the image the sense of a unique instant and its orange color contrasts nicely with the blues. I love the lines, shapes, and patterns in these flowers, a B&W treatment could be beautiful. |

The side lighting gives the leaves and blossom depth. But also accentuates the stem on the left, I concur with others that it should be removed. (In the film era you would have had to cut it off.) |
