11 Aug 22 Reply Good suggestions. Using Topaz Sharpen to enhance coarse textures can have many applications. Aug 13th
11 Aug 22 Reply Going back and forth on the crop - I'll make two 8.5x11 prints and listen to my artist wife's reaction. Aug 13th
11 Aug 22 Reply I shall follow your suggestions and make a large print. Aug 13th
11 Aug 22 Reply Your crop shows me that the grass is a distraction. Aug 7th
11 Aug 22 Comment Here is an example of the suggestion in my first comment. Working in Lightroom with a feathered radial gradient on the foreground rocks, I added Exposure, Clarity, and Texture to bring out the hard lines of the rocks. Aug 2nd
11 Aug 22 Comment The contrast between the soft clouds and sharp rocks is a good visual theme. I think it could be enhanced in the mono version by brightening the rocks. Aug 1st
11 Aug 22 Comment Your aperture and shutter speed captured a powerful image. Aug 1st

75 Aug 22 Reply I shall add this assignment to my ToDo list for this group. Aug 24th
75 Aug 22 Comment Very appealing image from a less than perfect flower. Your background treatment, emphasizing the colors, makes it work. Aug 20th
75 Aug 22 Reply Your three pod crop works very well. Aug 19th
75 Aug 22 Comment Please show us (in the stack of "originals") one of your "slice" shots and a traditional small aperture single shot. Aug 14th
75 Aug 22 Reply Clear and thorough. I especially appreciate your alerting a novice to the inherent background problems. Aug 14th
75 Aug 22 Comment Thanks for your constructive suggestion. Aug 12th
75 Aug 22 Comment Flowing composition, simple palette of complimentary colors, precise lighting - beautiful image. Aug 4th
75 Aug 22 Comment I often try "painting" presets and filters, but haven't found anything as interesting as your pushing LR's sliders outside of my comfort range. Aug 2nd
75 Aug 22 Comment B&W emphasizes shapes and patterns, here the wheel spoke features on each pod. A processing question: how do you shrink a huge GFX file down to our 1M size limit? Aug 2nd
75 Aug 22 Comment I really like your perspective, creating a level of abstraction that held my attention more than a conventional image of the whole flower. Aug 2nd
75 Aug 22 Reply I know that feeling. Aug 2nd
75 Aug 22 Comment Focus stacking is on my "to do" list, this image can be the stimulus to get me going. Aug 1st
