This observation has liberated my new and underutilized 12mm lens for close up shots. |

This kind of intimate landscape is more challenging to shoot than a grand vista, and your low camera position and crop work beautifully. |

I agree with the others, your first instinct for the wide shot makes a more complete image. |

Your picture drew lots of well deserved attention. Shadows can be a strong element in monochrome images, keep looking for them. |

The highlight area was the only part of the scene in direct sunlight. |

Thanks for the "fine art" compliment. Colors were part of the aesthetic visual experience being there, removing them helps bring out the story recorded in the layers. |

A 16x24 canvas wrap of the color version is on a wall. As always I enjoy working on a mono treatment and shall take your advice on tones in the raft. |

Good idea, but I can't visualize the sculpture from this shadow. A simpler subject form or a composition including the sculpture and the shadow would be moire pleasing. |

Good patterns and textures, but the scene is eerily empty. Daylight, but no boat or pedestrian traffic - where is everybody? |

Good work removing the wide angle tilt. The detail in the siding reminds us this was built one board at a time - with hand tools. |
