The group is as divided on the fence as I have been. |

The flow of light over its complex shapes turns this piece of obsolete machinery into an art object. Congratulations for seeing and capturing it. I concur with Jim H's suggestion. |

Yes, the fence is a distraction. Photoshop's Content Aware Fill did beautiful job removing every segment. |

Dramatic scene. The noticeable tilt to verticals at the edges was an opportunity to try out Perspective Efex in the latest edition of Nik Collection plug ins. My first amateur attempt is attached. |

Big improvements at each step. Your crop and choice of monochrome concentrate our attention on the subjects. (I suggest cropping a little more off the right to remove the tree edge and sensor spot.) From Original 2 your increased brightness and contrast in the foreground create an entry point and add depth to the scene. I like the dark sky. |

Your lens choice, composition, and monochrome processing make a very interesting photo. The clouds add to the drama of the architecture. Too bad the city does not do a better job cleaning the stone work. |

In color, my brain immediately recognizes blue sky so any white globs are just clouds and I have already seen thousands of those. With a dark, featureless background I have to look at the shapes - and WOW! |
