A different opinion: What is interesting in this photo is the structure at the center of the flower. Your tonal choices emphasize this, more contrast at the edges pulls my attention away. I agree with Tom that this is a gorgeous flower, well captured. |

The repeating elements (identical crane structures, identical patrol boats, similar clouds) give a pleasing visual rhythm to this image. And the contrasting shapes of engineering's cranes and nature's clouds stand out in monochrome. Your 35mm lens choice was ideal for this scene. Good work, Jim. |

You captured beautiful lighting that makes this image look three dimensional. Your shutter speed created a range of textures that compliments the range of tones. And the straight lines of free-falling water contrast nicely with the jagged forms of the rocks. Lots to like in this photo. |
