I concur with Jim H's suggestions. Nature designs wild animals to be inconspicuous, but we photographers want our subjects to stand out. |

I agree with Jim H. The strong dark grass and shadow pull attention away from the repeating patterns of dunes and ripples. His crop produces a beautiful abstract BW image. |

Good composition of these unusual structures. The strong contrast and structure settings work well for your BW treatment, but have created white halos at the edges of the rock columns. Backing off a little on the structure or sharpening might reduce these distractions. |

This photo rewards the effort you put into capturing it. Like a reflection, the black shadow reinforces the central conveyor. The mid tone, curved road contrasts with the dark, straight structures, as do the soft white clouds and the coarse dark rock piles. Wide range of tones, dynamic composition, a great BW picture. |
