Hi Martin. I actually set my camera to monochrome as the flowers were white with black centers. I really liked the contrast. I'm not sure whether having it set to capture color how the tones would have changed. I've never changed my camera to shoot in monochrome before. Guess I should have shot both ways! |

Thank you, Jim! Glad you had a good time at the Alligator Farm. If you're coming this way for BirdingFest, let me know. Maybe we could get lunch again somewhere. I'm not planning on taking any of the classes, but I may go up to sell some of my Nikon gear. |

Thanks so much, Piers! I like the idea of a black stroke around the outside. |

This is a beautiful image, Martin. I love the fogginess in the background and the perspective from where you were standing. The circular nature of the bridge creates movement in the image for me! Weather does not always feel like our friend, but it certainly gave this image character. Very well done! |

Lovely capture of a simple subject, Shirley! I agree with others relative to a crop, but I think a more of a landscape crop, like 11x9. Love the water color and movement. Makes one feel as though s(he) is looking at the feather from a boat. Nicely done! |

Wow, Piers, what a fantastic capture! The colors are so vivid and the movement is just enough to make it an interesting looking oil painting. Well done! |

Very nice capture and editing done on your Spoonie! If birds are your thing, the Alligator Farm is the place to be in the Spring during mating season. I had a photographer's pass for years until I decided that shore birds aren't my thing. I know, I know, I'm probably in the minority, but that's okay. I do love the rich pinks on the Spoonbill during mating season, but only second to the wood stork in being the ugliest looking of all the shore birds. Glad you had a good trip and I'm sure we'll see many more of the images you captured during your visit. |
