Thank you, Shirley, for the well wishes and your comments on my image. Perhaps your suggestion of darkening down the background would help! I was struggling that day, as my creativity just wasn't flowing. |

Thanks for the well wishes and comments on my image, Jim, The more I look at this image, the less I like it. Not sure what I saw in it when I submitted it. Guess I'll claim left-over COVID delirium. |

Thank you for your comments, Piers. You mention the shoes and lack of separation between the vase, actually, now, in looking at the image further, I think the shoes overpower the size of the vase and shouldn't have even been used in the setup.
Yes, COVID was not terrible but the long-term effects on my asthma made it drag on. Only this week have I stopped using my inhaler a few times a day. Thanks for the well wishes! |

Wow, Martin, this is amazing piece! All of your efforts and layers in PS paid off. I think I prefer the wires removed as Julie suggested. I am not familiar with Edward Hopper but I will have to look him up. Thanks for sharing. |

Who doesn't love tulips? This is a lovely portrait of the flower. I do feel as though the subject is a bit too big for the frame. I took the liberty of reducing its size in PS. Although I much prefer your background, I used the mixer brush to fill in the background where I reduced the size of the bud. I also changed the color of the stroke to more closely match the colors in the image. Just my take on your lovely image. |

Lovely portrait of Mr Owl, Piers. You captured him nicely, a bit off-centered in the frame and looking back. I like the catch light in both eyes. Along with Martin's suggestion of darkening down the right top and lower corners, I would add a bit of contrast. Nicely done! |

Very nice image, Jim. I really like Martin's crop as it got rid of the glistening water, which I find distracting. I also thinks it's a more balanced image as the masts are fairly close to the top of the image. Great work with the HDR. |
