Yes, I could crop some of this image, but to add more saturation would really distract from this bird's true colors. I've already had a "birder" friend of mine tell me the colors are all wrong! I just found him comical at the time. Thanks for your comments, Jim. |

Great portrait and superb lighting! I love all the textures from the lines in his face to the course looking beard. I would remove both buttons on his breast as they are distracting and pull my eye away from the gentleman's face. I would also tone down some of the brightness on his hat but I would not crop the image. Very nicely done. |

Thanks for your comment, Piers. Yes it was an overcast day and that part of the Intercoastal water always looks drab. I thought he was comical and wanted to share. |

Wow…what a fantastic catch of all the projectiles coming from that cannon! You certainly had your timing and all the camera's settings spot on. My only picky comment would be to remove the last chain post and it's shadow on the lower right as it serves no purpose and appears right on the edge. |

Love the lines in this image, Shirley! As a color image, you did a great job in managing all the tones. I wonder what it might look like in B&W? It's always amazing to me how developers find the space to squeeze in another building. |

Lovely image, Piers, and definitely a natural B&W! What a great opportunity and the couples garb is so apropos for the time period. You handled the lighting well. My only suggestion would be to try and darken the windshield of the automobile, especially what I assume is the reflection from the side mirror. That area keeps pulling my eye over there. Fun image and I'll bet the couple would like a copy. |

Isn't it fun to learn new techniques? As a flower photographer, myself, I do photo stacking quite often. My Nikon cameras have an option to do in-camera stacking but I prefer to pick my areas manually for focus. Beautiful job, Jim. Love the fall colors! |

Very nicely composed, Charissa! It reminds me of a flat-lay. I can't tell if you actually arranged these gourds at home or if you arranged them and made the image right as they lay in the bin. Nicely done! |

I love seeing the birds come to my feeders, so I know what you mean by liking to make images in your own environment. What a great sighting of this Nuthatch. I agree with Ruth, as I would remove the tree on the left and make this image a high key. |

Beautifully done, Ruth! I love the lighting that you choose. It conveys the night before Christmas very well. Great image! |

Very pretty flower. I love all the lines in the pink petals that you were able to capture so sharply. I would prefer to see a bit more breathing room around the bud. To me, the flower feels cramped! I would also suggest removing some of the dark spots on the outer petals as I find them very distracting. Your lighting is perfect! Nice capture. |
