Great composite, Martin! I love the emotional feeling that's revealed in his eyes. Almost a twinkle! I thought the same thing that Piers mentioned when I saw the 3 different images. I wonder if you can isolate him in the image holding his guitar and put that image of him on the sheet music background. Wonderful work, either way! |

Wow, Shirley, what a great image! You did a wonderful job in post. I think that Piers suggestion of darkening the background a bit and adding a bit of motion blur has merit. It brings the viewers attention straight to the horse and not the very colorful gates in the background. Either way, though, a wonderful wall hanger! |

Nice capture, Piers! I love to see these shore birds as they hunt then perch. I think I would prefer to see the stumps behind the bird still in the image. By removing all of them except the one he's perched on leaves me feeling a bit unbalanced. Just my opinion. |

Jim, this is a great shot and you captured it very well. Just to be clear, though, to others who've not been to St Augustine, this motel is down along a pier across the water from the "historic" part of St Augustine. |

Thanks, Jim. Yes, it was good to meet you in person. Glad we had some time to chat over lunch. How'd you like that light box at the car museum? Pretty fantastic, I think. I saw those three branches on the left with their foliage in among the palms. I didn't try to get rid of them b/c I was afraid I'd screw up the palms. They are a bit distracting so I will try some more editing. |
