Cool landscape image. I agree with Martin to crop out the small light area in the bottom right. I also agree with Michael and would try a gradient filter before I cropped the sky off altogether. If you use the dehaze in LR, you may want to use it with the adjustment brush so not to affect the other areas of the image. Great Shot! |

Wow, they must be really cold in AR in February! I love the composition, especially, flipping it horizontally. I think perhaps the background got a bit too dark, at least on my screen. The sun appears to be almost directly overhead due to the shadows cast by the pelicans. The pelicans are very bright. And by darkening the water behind them to this extent, just doesn't feel natural to me. Just my opinion. |

Great catch, Piers! I agree with Shirley on the color version. I also would include the entire wood, including the third Snowy to meet the Rule of Odds. I would crop about an inch or so off the bottom and crop in on both sides leaving the 3 Snowy's with the piece of wood. Also, you may find if you leave the color you'll be able to go a bit lighter on the vignette. |

Wow, Jim, what a fascinating photo! Quite frankly, I like the original better than the section that you cut from it. With all the curves, waves and varying colors, my eyes just keep going around and around. Very cool! |

Thank you, Shirley, for your observation. Yes, my images are reversed. I appreciate your suggestions in adding space to the sides of the images, and will try to do that in PS. |
