Thanks, Brenda, for commenting. I, too, wanted to just knock on that door to see what was on the other side! |

Thanks, Piers, for the kind comments. I hear what you're saying about the crop. I agree without it one can see more of the wall and all the different efforts to keep it in repair. I definitely like to addition to the top of the image. |

To me, this is an environmental portrait. It's a great shot of your son enthralled in his own world. I believe the crop needs to include enough of his world so that the viewer can understand what it is he's doing. I changed the crop and added a circular filter in Lightroom to bring attention directly to him. See what you think. |

Very interesting window, in deed! I love all the colors that have been applied to the shutters over time. I would suggest a bit of cropping on the left to remove the other window frame. |

I see what you mean about the leaves being so much bigger then the bud. I love the bokeh in your original image and was trying to think of a different way to crop and keep some of that but unfortunately didn't come up with anything. I do like Martin's adjustments. Maybe next time, try shooting between the leaves instead of having one lineup right in front. |

This is a great shot! I like the desaturation that you've done. I think it works well. My eye keeps wandering over to the right side which really isn't adding anything to the image. I think a bit more cropping to remove the section beyond the curved wall would help. |

Beautiful silhouetted shot. My eye wants to drift to the light sliver between the piling and the edge of the image on the left side. Perhaps consider a slight crop on that side. I love the painterly touches to the background. |

This is a very powerful image. The pose, expression on her face, and her demeanor scream, "Just try something"! To me, her complexion is a bit too orangey, especially the chest and hand. Maybe it's just me or my monitor, which is calibrated. |

Shirley, Thanks so much for your comments. You are spot on with your cropping suggestions and adding a bit of canvas to the top. I've incorporated your suggestions. See what you think! |
