I think the texture and detailing of the petals and stamen are very crisp and eye-catching. I agree that opening up the shadows of the stamen etc. might create an interesting effect as well. |

Here's the revised image, per your feedback. I used a free editing app online (as my work computer doesn't allow me to install or download any non-work programs). The editing tool is: https://photoeditor.polarr.co/ I also found a good resizer (https://www.shutterstock.com/image-resizer) for adjusting comment images so that it doesn't exceed the 1Mb limit. |

Hi Margaret, Thank you for that suggestion. The editing program I used was very limited. But I do have LR on my phone, so I will try and and edit it there to open up the shadows a bit. I will definitely share the new version too. |

Thank you Bev, that is a great suggestion. I agree that the sky isn't so "wow", so cropping it gives the overall photo a better balance as a panorama. |

The focus on the foreground draws attention to her costume and expression of serious bemusement. The out-of-focus background of the brightly-colored food truck gives the photo a nice depth. |

All the subjects in the shot look very focused and intent (dog at fisherman, fisherman at sea). The angle of the fisherman's pole and the waves coming in gives the impression that the fisherman is slowly reeling in the wave (the brownish wave swell on the right in the mid-ground). The splash of chartreuse shirt and pink beads bring a splash of color to the scene of muted tones (beige, blue). |

The macro effect highlights the contrast between the chick and the leaves. The contrasting colors (yellow, orange) and texture (shiny, plastic, feathered surface) of the chick stand out against the leaves (smooth, mottled shades or green). Your adaptation of the tissue for the flash is a good use available alternative materials. |
