I like the image and its content but then there's something that bothers me about it. I believe the composition is better with less of the boat on the left, I do like it with less sepia but not to the extent that it distracts from the image. The details in the image are good. I took a shot at my own edit and am not any fonder of it than the images shown. I think what my problem is is that I have an image in my head as to what a gondolier should look like and this gentleman is not it. He is preventing me with his "haughty" look from imagining all the stories behind gondoliering. |

Nice image, I like that it almost looks painted rather than a photo. The history behind it adds a very "spooky" feel to it. A lot of stories in the history that the image brings to mind. |

Desolate area, rocks and more rocks. Image conversion to b/w (imho) is definitely better than than the color. The enhanced clouds look great as does the granular texture of the ground. As good as this image is, I do not think it does Pikes Peak justice. |

Great image, great stories to be told. What coming, who is it, are the friend or foe and so on. Each edited image presented it differently drawing the eye in different ways, all are good, I don't think any of them are necessarily better than another. An image that makes us imagine. Great. |

Nice photo, think Sam Cooke 1960's tune "What a wonderful world this would be"
I don't know much about hydrangeas,
don't know much about the photo you took,
but I do know that it's pretty nice,
even if I think its not detailed enough....
Sorry sometimes my mind goes in weird spins. I like what Michael and Linda did to bring out the veining more. The additional detail, too me, makes it a more complete image.

Small light camera versus heavier more versatile camera, constantly an argument with me as to what I want to have versus what I need to have with me, am I driving (unlimited stuff) or flying (carry on). The image is good for what it is and not so great for what it could have been? Show motion or show detail, show all objects in focus or shallow depth of field. Quick decisions versus a plan. I like the image but I do wish the motion was visible. |
