Interesting and different. I wonder what insect pollenates this flower? There's a reason the petals are this way. Although it is not perfect, there is something special about the original photo. The color and clarity is different. |

One thing leads to another. This shot is different in many ways like the complimentary colors and patterns. The background works well although there could be less of it. Did you try a shot from below? Looks like there would good patterns at different camera angles. |

I like the interesting angle of the subject and angle of light from above causing highlights and shadows. Many details come out the closer you look. This flower has the golden ratio written all over it. |

Some of the greatest inventions were discovered by mistakes and besides there's an awful lot of beauty in mistakes. You caught this subject with a special expression. |

The light is what I noticed first bringing out the many small details of the subject. I didn't realize all the colors until I zoomed in. I like the long stem and background although it pushes the subject too far into the upper corner. The soft sunlight coming from a high angle works well on both the highlights and shadows of the this giant. |

The more you look at this shot, the more you see. The angle of view up the trunk of the tree is interesting and step to the left or right would change the picture entirely. Gordon has the high ground and it looks like he knows it. Is that numerals in the bottom right corner? Almost looks like 1943 or 47. |
