This picture has great composition and color coordination. The background become increasingly supportive to the subject. The slight tilt of the flower gives it a natural and healthy feel with the supporting plants stems, leaves and buds. My wife had an orchid just bloom. The pedals of this rose seem similar. |

Great composition. I like how the longer petals are North, South, East and West. Many other patterns appear the closer you look. The background gives support and depth. |

Hi Mary. Thanks for the comment on my March picture. I think the empty spaces help isolate the seed pods with their colors and textures. I like how the white background blends into the supporting branches leaving the subjects clear and in focus. I wouldn't change a thing. |

Nice angles, shapes, lines and forms. I like the above angle view of the dog just enough to give the subject dimension. Is the dog bolted into the brick or part of the shutter? The S shape reminds me of French lever door handles. Come to find out shutter dogs are American with the Valley Forge, Williamsburg and New England styles. |

Minimalism. Shapes lines, forms, colors. Reminds me of some art history courses I attended. Less is more. A suggestion would be to make light shine from the tubes. Light source underneath with black cloth around perimeter. |

The background fits and gives perspective to the subject. The reversal of the leaves looks a bit strange and also gives support the flower. Daffodils started blooming in January in my corner of the country. This flower looks huge in the original photograph. |
