I like the lamp balancing out the vertical and horizontal patterns. The paper behind the lamp takes attention away from the perspectives. Amazing quality from your phone camera. |

Nice choice of camera angle bringing out dimension and depth. Looks like mid-day sun. Later afternoon sunlight might show different details and shadows. The durability of German engineering of this era shows well in this photo. |

Great perspective and depth. Is this the perfect close-up? The shadow at the top hides some details. This box has many possibilities for future cloud-ups. |

An interesting citrus subject. Must be late in the season for this tree. I like the strong branch leading into the corner. These subjects look ready to eat and it's a lot of weight for the tree. |

Thanks for the comment. Too many distractions for some that the big picture is missed.. It's not like a ladder that is just set on a level surface. A lot of things underground like a root system. It was only ten feet away from a sidewalk and six lane street. |

Thanks for your comment. I wanted to get past the fence and security guards and see what great shots I could get. What caught my eye was one big crane sitting on a pool of water. |

Thanks for the comment. Just like a tree there's a huge support structure underground. It's what you don't see that counts. For how enormous the structure is, I was fairly close. Had to walk a half block away and still could get the whole picture. By scale, I was inches away. Does a close-up have to be of small objects only? There are many parts but the big picture is one crane sitting on water or so it seems.
I like your B&W edition. It brings out many details I missed. |
