Correction, a step would have changed the view of the fire. |

I've viewed this shot several times this month. Had a great first impression and it get better after that. Tends to grow on one. I get a more artistic felling although this shot has many different elements. Lighting, patterns, textures. Do you play golf? |

Cropping is terrific giving attention to the main subject. You get a feel for how this one might view the world. Very interesting patterns and textures all around. I like the bright colors fading into darker ones toward the top. |

Great shot all around. Focus, composition, lighting all compliment each other. Gold and black work well together. Action and brightness is at the center surrounded by dark tones. Many artists used this lighting well. Dutchmasters, etc. A step to the right may have had a little improvement on the balance. |

The overall shot has a pleasing shape and outline brought out by the color combinations. Many possibilities with cropping in this shot. I like the S she of the proboscis which draws my attentions to the eyes and flower activity. |

Another excellent subject posing for you. Focus, lighting, depth of field all come together. I could see this shot framed on a wall. |
