Interesting image Joan, I will have to look into the Harold Davis technique. Thanks for sharing it. |

I concur with Henry about the foreground in your image, Judy. If I redid my original I would be more careful to only use the adjustment brush between the yellows targeting a more natural look. As for the crop, I feel it is not needed. If anything I wish I had better composed so as to not have lost the trees on top out of the frame. On the right I feel the tree blocks one from leaving the image and the blue fence brings them back toward the main subject. Maybe I should have titled it
"Golden Trees" to be more encompassing of the overall scene. |

I like your improvements. However the lack of character in the pedals etc takes away from the overall image. At this point I do not have a suggestion. BUT I will buy an orchid plant at my local store and see what I can come up. till next month then and take are with your back |

Very dramatic image. I feel the yucca is responding to the turmoil of the storm around it by the bending of the sword-shaped leaves with wind or confused by it. Very inspiring image.

I flipped a coin between yours Judy and that of Chan. Coin is till standing on its edge. For a day when you have nothing better to do consider taking the red out of the trunk and some
removal of distractions along the edges toward the bottom. Nice results. |

Nice job on the right basket, in the original it looks black. I find the background distracting. I agree with Chan on the tulip plant and blooms. Might try isolating the blooms in a layer and working it in Camera Raw to gain some separation with hue/sat between the two. Good composition |

Chan. Given the circumstances prior to this shot I feel lucky
to have gotten the fence in focus. Had just finish a 3 mile hike with steep hills. I am not a hiker and I was beat. It was very windy and I was hurried to leave the location. I shot a bracketed exposure, hand held. at 1/500 sec at f/6.7 |
