Jennifer, this is no tourist snapshot. Your choice of close up of the hands makes the image your own. I am also drawn to your B&W conversion. Well done. |

Yes, remain creative! Far too many photographers demand that your photographic image must be totally true to life. They demand a pure historical record.
Keep having fun with your creativity. |

Dale, I really like this image and the revision you have made. I do have one other suggestion for you to consider. The image is very near to being a monochrome image. There is a subtle hint of color in some of the tree trunks. Why not simply let it become a true B&W image? |

Steve, I don't care that the image is of a Lion in a zoo. What I appreciate is the final image. You have created a stunning portrait of the animal. |

Thanks, Steve. Every now and then a simple image keeps calling to me until I finally break down and photograph it. I next have the challenge to create a interesting from the image file. |

Cindy, I feel that you have found a very interesting subject. Without seeing the original full color image, I cannot offer an opinion on whether or not creating a B&W image was the best choice. I do feel that the B&W contains far too much contrast. I have created an edit in which I attempt to lower the contrast, but I am limited by the fact that the underlying color information is missing from the image file. |
