I find myself in agreement with what the others have said. This is a very good image. I enjoy the way you have used the light and agree with the conversion to B&W. |

Cindy, what a very nice image. I enjoy the bright colors of the bicycles, tricycle and planter boxes. I also enjoy your crop. This is a lighthearted, fun image. |

What a very interesting portrait of this little bird. I enjoy the way you have used selective focus to eliminate what could be a very busy background and leave only the bird and the tree trunk. I find myself drawn to the way the claw of the front leg grips the trunk. I have never before been presented this view. Thank you. |

Dale, you have presented a very interesting experiment in impressionistic photography art. This is something I am very interested in. You have largely succeeded in your reaching your goal.
When I first saw your image, and before I read your description of it, I looked to find a point of sharp focus. Next, I began to appreciate the impressionist nature of the image. Now I wonder if the image might be improved by further reducing the near focus of the yellow flowers at the top. I don't know if that would help or hurt.
Thank you for sharing this image. |

Steven, you continue to show outstanding "Birds in Flight" images. Congratulations.
I enjoy the sharpness of the bird, the widespread wings and tail, and the bright green in the clump of grass in the grip of the claws.
This type of photography requires recording what the scene gives you. If you were able to choose the background, then I would have liked to see a more interesting sky. |

Dale, I am glad you enjoy my image. Your suggestion to tone down the white rose and petal is well taken. |

Yes, thank you Will. As we age and see most of our life behind us, we realize that like this old typewriter, our time will pass.
The Japanese aesthetic focuses on the impermanence of all things. |

Steven, thank you for taking the time to consider my image and suggesting an alternate presentation. I like the relationship of the typewriter and the bookcase, but also felt the bookcase competed for attention. I wanted to convey the feeling that this typewriter had been pushed aside and was being forgotten. Thus, the sense of impermanence of all things. |
