Jennifer, what can I say? This is another outstanding image. But that is what I always expect from you. I like the fact you have placed the horizon so close to the top and left plenty of room for the trail of movement. Yes, the top is the brightest area and first draws my eyes, but then I see the narrow path of the rock which lead my eyes directly to the subject (rock.)
I see no reason for the B&W version. |

Congratulations on what I judge to be a successful exercise in selective focus. It seems obvious to me that this is a very well-conceived composition. I assume you lay on the ground and up close to the tulips. The one full focus tulip in the middle appears to me to be your main subject.
When I give thought to what I might have done differently, it appears that a vertical crop might strengthen the image. This crop could eliminate the two tulips (one on either side of the main subject) that are in near focus and try to compete with the subject, as well as removing the tree trunk. |

Will, congratulations on your sale of this image. Although I am not at all sure what this is, or whether the design is the result of reflections or material design, I can appreciate it as an architectural abstract. Very good focus and color. |

What a very nice monochrome silhouette. I really like the simplicity of the image. I feel sure the bird is a Blue Heron, but the angle of this silhouette gives the bird a very prehistoric look. The starkness of the trees and the large nest add to the overall drama of the scene. I like your color tone and see no benefit from the black and white tone suggested. |

I envy your skill of photographing birds in flite. As others have already said, the light and the focus allow the bird to stand out against the background. I think I would like to see a bit more exposure under the top wing. |

Yes, I like this image. I am also aware that each viewer will view the image and have their own vision for it. I view the image and like very much the story of this attractive couple in the park. The focus is good as are the colors. This is my vision of the image. In my vision, anything else is a distraction. Therefore, I like the crop that Will has supplied. The expressions on the faces of this couple leave much room for storytelling.
Very nice work. |

Thanks, Dale. This group has again helped me to improve an image. See my reply to Steven. Your observation of the line (yes, the corner of the room) is also helpful. I will remove that line. |

Steven, I always look forward to your critique. I had noticed the line you refer to and find it to be part of the shadow of the leg reflected in the tabletop. That may be true, but you are right. It is a distraction and should be removed. Thank you for pointing that out. I will fix it in a future revision. |

Cindy, thank you for the comments. Yes, I am finding that good photos can be taken with a cell phone. I am not ready to put away my traditional cameras. |
