Will, thank you. I won't upload another revision but have already begun to go back and remove some of the texture advancement.
This is what DD Groups were designed for: learning from each other.
If this image ever receives some sort of award, I will need to share it with you and Steven. |

Steven, thank you. After reading your comments I took another look at my image and decided that you are right. I have reduced the intensity of the darker areas to reveal more of the wall on the left side. |

Jennifer, what a wonderful image! I picture myself in a bass boat just outside of the frame. I make a soft cast of my lure right up against the base of that tree and make a slow retrieval while waiting for that large bass to envelope the lure into its mouth.
It is the trunk of the tree as it enters into the water that interests me most. Well done. |

Cindy, you are presenting another very fine image. I understand your desire to show as much of the bridge as possible, but it is also clear to me that the large group of flowers is your main subject. If this is correct, I feel that your best use of space would be to give the subject more of the space and take space away from the bridge. The bridge is useful in showing the environment where the main subject resides, but that can be done while still giving the subject more space on the canvas. I suggest the following crop. |

Will, what a very creative image. You past on the "tourist snapshot" of an often-photographed landmark and searched for a more creative angle. The conversion to monochrome is well done. I consider this to be a very strong image. |

Dale, this image does appeal to me. I also like the color original that draws my eyes to the path and leaves of the large tree due to the relative brightness to their color.
My feeling is that the opposite is true in the monochrome image. the path is darker than the surroundings and so the eye is led away from the path and to the lighter areas. Let me suggest the possibility of changing where the eye goes first through some tone sculpturing (burning and dodging). |

Steven, congratulations on a very nice, well-done composite image. You have taken two nice but nothing special images and combined them in such a way to create a very impactful image. I also detect some nice tone improvements.
Thank you. |

Lance, your images are often surprisingly simple. This one causes me to want to do some study of Japanese aesthetics.
I would really like to see this as one of a larger series built upon the same theme.
Question: Is the egg shape of the moon due to the phase of the moon at the time, or is this a somewhat long exposure? |
