A very interesting image. Your title suggests that the large clock face is an alien spaceship, but I find it to be more appropriate to simply see it for what it is. Does the clock face represent some aspect of time? Every viewer can create their own story. For me, I feel set free to use my creative imagination. Thank you.

I don't see this as two images combined in camera, but two images combined in the computer. A Composite image.
Well conceived and well executed. I like it. |

I very much like this image. The truly creative aspect is your angle of capture and the extreme close up. Creative is more than manipulation in Photoshop. |

This is a very nice image. I like it as you have it. Continuing the swirl, as has been suggested, works but I feel is a step too far. |

The image has been flipped and I used Generative Fill to remove the person from behind the man. All in keeping with PSA Ethics guidelines. |

Very nice. Of course, the photograph fails to do justice to the real beauty if the scene. Even the newest and best cameras are incapable of recording the full range of color that our eyes (for most persons) are capable of seeing. |

I don't need a label attached to this piece in order to enjoy it. A Rembrandt classical portrait is very different from a Van Gogh landscape. But I can enjoy both for what they are without the addition of a label. Good work. |

I concur with what others have already said. This is one place where a negative vignette works well. |

"Wow!" I like this image. Your B&W conversion is right on. If this were my image it would very soon be hanging on my wall. |

Lance, there you go again! You trouble me. You confuse me. You excite me. You teach me. Thank you.
My first look at this image had me asking, "What is Lance doing now?" But then, I "cut my B&W teeth" on Ansel Adams and his dark blacks and bold whites. Therefore, at first glance your image looked muddy.
I then spent many minutes just looking at this image on my computer screen. Now I understand, I think, and appreciate what you are doing. You have created a very quiet, minimalistic piece of art. It is restful and contemplative. I compared this piece to the more energetic image you posted this month in your B&W group. The image you have presented here is restful with a minimum of digital information to deal with. The more energetic image in the B&W group now seems to overwhelm me with digital information overload. |
