Thanks for your point of view. In the print I made, the instrument does stand out from the background. I enjoyed working on this. |

You have taken a very static and cold image and turned it into a warm, inviting image. I like it. |

What a very creative idea. The presence of your thumb on the bottom square tells me this is a slide puzzle that requires moving one square at a time to put the original image back together. Well done. |

I really like what you have done here. The original image is rather cold and uninteresting. Your conversion of the images results in a very warm and welcoming scene that makes me want to spend time looking and letting my eye wander around. |

I do like this image. I do, however wish to disagree with the comments about the sharpness. I feel you went just a hair too far. The large bird seems to be oversharp and pasted on the water. Not much. Just a small amount. |

This is a fine image and there is not much I can add. My one observation is that the moon is so bright that despite the fact the bridge is so large and red in color, my eyes are immediately drawn to it and find it hard to move on to the other elements. |

You achieved your goal of creating bokeh. In the process you also created an attractive image. I agree that the light coming through the window could be toned down. |

Very well done. This is a photo of a motor such as I have never seen before. Good use of Nik Color Efex Pro 2 and Detail Extractor filters. |

Great capture. The black background works very well with the light from the flames to keep my eyes on her and from wandering away. |

Another of your always fine images. I like the silhouette and the narrow crop. I could wish that the Spanish moss was not so close to the squirrel, therefore letting it stand out more in its own space. Did you consider cropping up some from the bottom, thus lowering the squirrel out of the center? |

Your suggestions are well taken. (See my question to Lance {above} and his answer.) My vases were too large to be placed in the light cube. I had a fully equipped photography studio in the renovated basement of a former house, at a time when my legs were much younger, so I know I could have photographed this image with a black background. I also knew that it could be done much quicker, and with less energy expended in Photoshop. Therefore, I was unconcerned with the background in the original image.
My intent was not to present a totally believable scene, but to present a study of shapes, textures and tones.

I appreciate your thoughtful critique. My intent was to use these items from my living room to focus on shapes, textures and tones. LrC and Ps made the project so simple to accomplish. |

Thanks for sharing your thoughts concerning this image. The steadily improving tools in both LrC and Ps made the process easy. I wanted to focus on the shapes and textures. |

Thanks for the kind and encouraging comment. After I forwarded the image to you, I began to think that it might have been helpful to leave a small, rounded portion of the white covered kitchen bar as a base for the objects to stand on. Any thoughts on that idea? |
