What a unique way to look at this flower. A view that most would never stop to see. Subject, lighting, focus, color and composition all work together to make this an outstanding image. |

Jo:
Welcome to the group. I am relatively new here myself. You will enjoy the group. I have found no degree of competition, but only helpful feed-back.
I can already see that you do good work, and look forward to seeing more of it. |

Mike.
Very well done. You always present good work. I agree in thanking you for including a photo of your studio set up. In my "professional" days, I would study photos in mags. to see if I could determine how many lights were used and where they were located. |

Up until 2 years ago, I lived in a home with a canal in the back that provided direct access to lake Okeechobee. Your image brought back fond memories of scenes from back yard.
I like that you have come in close to the bird while still leaving room to include the environment in which the bird resides. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I was trying to deal with two issues. 1. I needed room to straighten the photo to keep the horizon level. 2. I did not want the lamp post in the middle of the composition. Both are issues I need to take more care to correct before I release the shutter. |

Then you did change the color of the flowers. Much easier for you to do in IR. I like what you did. Thanks for the info. |

Very nice flower image. I have no experience with Super Color IR, so help me to learn. What have you been able to accomplish with this image that would not have resulted from a normal camera? Did you change the color of the flowers? What made IR the choice for photographing this scene? Don't get me wrong, I love the image. Well done. |

It's amazing what interesting images can be found when you look close at otherwise familiar objects. I like the texture of the rusting metal. I have noticed that in all of your images of the old, abandoned cars you give the image an overall purple tint. Any reason for that? |

I really like the uncropped image, but do see the problem of the lens flair near the bottom right. Did you have a lens hood attached? I wondered about the odd shape of the sun until I noticed it is also showing the effect of the flair. Over all I like the concept and the quiet, restful feeling it brings. It is challenging to shoot into the sun. |

Very nice image. The color tint works well. You might try darkening the rock and bright grass on the right side some. I find my eyes being drawn to that area and drawn of that edge. |
