Good shot Sherry and I like the image. Beautiful clouds in sky and no blown-out highlights, good shadows and balance composition. The foreground was slightly under-exposed to me.
Sherry, I have question and do not understand. The image was taking during afternoon with D850. You must have some reason using high ISO 140; fast shutter 1/400 seconds +0.67EV; F/10 and manual exposure.
If I am going to take this image, use wide angle lens for better DOF; manual exposure; ISO 64; f/8 -0.3 EV; slower shutter speed; may use GND filter for clouds and get more light for foreground or take few shots to make a HDR image.

Like the dunes colors and the moon. Good composition.
My old Nikon D810 and D610 cameras always have dust spots on sensor. I sent them back to Nikon to clean every year. I always check the dust spots first before process the images.

Nice photojournalism shot Ian. Have wildfires in California area every year. Many thousands of acres burned land and thousands of homes were destroyed. I was in Sydney Australia 3 months ago, the bushfires were a lot worst over there. |

You are right Ian. There were small group people on Segway night tour. I over-exposure the image and you can see the moving people in yellow clothing. It is a good tool using long exposure to eliminate the moving objects |
