I wonder if some of the rocky background should have been included to give a context. Photographically, it is spot-on. But, anti-zoo people might use this as a statement of the boredom, and perhaps cruelty, of animals held in captivity. |

As an anatomist, I am intrigued by what I see here. An extraordinary example of evolution. I assume the whitish material on the lower left are feathers on its under-surface (and not its underwear!). I can't imagine how this image could be improved. The picture cries out for a circular frame. Or, going back to the original, keep its legs in the image and use a long, rectangular frame. |

A grand image taken under less than ideal conditions. The curve of the river and the detail of the buildings make the image. I love the architectural detail. |

Can't go wrong with spring flowers, especially an example as well photographed as seen here. I would have cropped a bit tighter at the top. You have good bokeh in the image but you might do with a bit less area. I like the insect that is also admiring the flowers. |

Would you have considered cropping the bottom of the image to remove the trees in the background? I find them distracting to the overall impact of the image. |

A lot to look at here. I have no suggestions how to improve the image other than to have waited a bit until the top of the mountain was out of the shadow. I suspect a travel agency in New Zealand would like to use your picture! |
