Nice shot, I like the composition in the way that you have the calm of the lake with the trees in the foreground and the rim of the lake with the clouds in the sky. This looks like a PR shot for Crater Lake, nice job.
I agree with Dawn in that, if you could, moving to the right so you didn't have the trees jutting into Wizard Island would be a big help. I think isolating Wizard Island more would help it stand out and provide a better interest point for the photo. And I agree with Darcy that dehazing would also help. |

I like the symmetry of this shot and, agreeing with Dawn, I like the simplicity.
I took the liberty to do a bit of cropping from the top, bottom and right side. I think this give more dominance of the haystack, which I like.
For me I'd like to see a bit more exposure on the haystack itself so a little of the detail would come through.
There is a spot in the sky on the left side of the image. It could be a bird (or a dust spec on your lens) but I consider it distracting. |

You've put a lot of work into this shot and, in my opinion, it has paid off. I think your composition is good with Chimney Rock centered and the way you have the light coming in from the side. I see three layers; the trees in the foreground, the formation of the rock and then the sky with the interesting clouds; and for me they all work well together.
I find the moon a bit distracting as it takes my eye away from the rock and, in my opinion, I think it would have helped to remove it. |

I think you've done a good job on capturing the falls. I go by there a couple times a year on my way to visit my daughter in Boise but I've never been there when I could find an open space to park any where near the falls so I could get out and take a photo.
Because of the height of the falls it is difficult to compose a good shot so I like that you concentrated on the lower portion of the falls. I think you did a good job of positioning the bridge which, for me, helps to create an interest point.
I agree with the others in that I think your exposure is a bit too dark. |
