The two things about this photo that capture my attention first are the way in which you have captured the vastness of the scene and second how you have layered the image with the rippled sand in the foreground, then the smooth sand, the mountains in the distance and finally the sky and clouds. I think this layering adds a lot of depth and perspective to the photo. I think you made a good choice to wait until the shadows were able to add to the photo. From a technical perspective I can't find anything I might improve on. Great shot. |

My first consideration is that this image creates, for me, a nice sense of peaceful calm in the way the two mustangs seem to be relating. I think your composition is very good in the way you caught their head positioning, set them in the frame and really concentrated on their heads. I think your focus is spot on with lots of detail showing and, as Darcy mentioned, I think the bokeh is great. It appears that you have done a little vignetting, which I think adds to the photo.
I think you could have a little more exposure in the lower left corner which could show a bit more detail in the neck and chest of the mustang on the left. Great shot, which seems to be typical of your work. |

I like the texture of the overall image and the way in which the shadows contribute to highlighting the detail of the glacier. Your focus is, in my opinion, very good with nice detail showing. I consider the bluish tone on the right side interesting as compared to the more white tone on the left side.
For my eye the left side and top of the photo might be helped by a lower exposure, especially compared to the exposure on the right side. Also I don't perceive and item in the photo that creates a "primary interest point" and so my eye wanders around without and specific area to concentrate. However, considering where you were you were taking the photo from I would consider this a successful photo. Good Job! |

I like the way you have presented the low key colors softened by looking at them through the water and I like the texture that is created with the river stones and the ripples in the water. Technically I think your exposure and composition are done very well. I consider this to be a very relaxing photo, and I like it. |

I toned down the exposure in post processing. I didn't have time while taking the picture; this was the third time I approached the group and each time I would get too near they'd move down the beach about 50 yards and I didn't want that to happen again. So when I saw them just looking at me I just took the shot/ |

I agree with Neil in thinking that the clouds and the colors of the sky are the stars of this photo. In my opinion the water in the foreground provides a base for the image and then, as Neil noted, the mountains point up and draw my eye to the sky. I like the soft look that the early morning sun brings to the photo and I think you caught the colors just right. I very much like this photo |

Jeffrey, I think you are very successful with this photo. I like the symmetrical composition and you skillful positioning of the corner such that my eye stays drawn to that building and is accentuated with the diagonal lines moving back from it. The stillness of the water and the reflection of the building and walls REALLY add to the image. I think your focus and exposure are good and I like that you seem to have lowered the color saturation of the water as it helps keep my attention on the palace structure. I think it's a great shot, wish I could do that good.
