I like the way you have combined different elements in a complimentary way with the sand, grasses, mountains and sky. I am impressed with the consistency of the ripples in the sand and the impression of an undulating wave. I think the exposure is great when considering the wind range of subject lighting in this photo. While I like the way you captured the sunlight coming between the dunes and the mountains in the background I'm not quite comfortable with it. For me an overall captivating photo, great job. |

Kelly, I like the way you have captured the fall colors. I also think the stream is a big plus as it draws my eye up and into the main part of the photo. Where I live I get lots of spots to take forest and stream photos however this shot makes be a bit jealous of what you have done (however our fall colors tend to be pretty drab). Great job
I do wonder if the focus could be a git sharper. |

I really like the atmosphere created by the dominance of the blue light. I think you've captured a nice sense of early evening. In my opinion having the brighter lights of the buildings on the right side help to add to a sense of calm in the main part of your image. I think the reflection in the puddle in the lower left adds a nice touch. I agree with Paul regarding your exposure and, like Paul, I believe your focus and depth of field is excellent.
I'm not sure about the food truck. I provides a good point of interest and it works well with this photo but I also wonder if the photo would be just as good if you had moved forward to take the shot without it? |

I like what you've done here and both the color and B&W work well for me. I think your composition is good with the large ornament positioned nicely in the frame and I like how it incorporates the reflection. In my opinion the other element of decoration, the pine needles, smaller ornaments, and lights help to make the primary ornament stand out. I like the higher level of contrast in the B&W while I think the contrasting colors of the original create more of a festive image. Great job and I like both
Happy holidays to everyone. |

I like this Christmas shot, thanks for helping to celebrate the season. For me the pine needles poking through the snow, with their sharp focus, accentuates the winter season in a soft pleasant way. I like how you have contrasting color ornaments against the white of the snow as in my mind it makes them stand out as primary interest points. (Your reflection in the one ornament is a nice touch.) This photo puts me in a happy Christmas mood.
I wonder if it would help to crop the image down from the top to that branch coming in from the left, as I think it would have the ornaments stand out a bit more.
Great job, Merry Christmas everyone |

There are two primary elements of this photo that have a positive impact for me: they are the way you have used the red color to dominate the photo and your use of negative space so that our attention is drawn to the doorway at the end of the hall. I like the asymmetrical composition with the solid wall on the left side with the archways on the right side. For me the leading lines of the tile on the floor and the repetitive pattern on the left wall help direct my eye to the doorway.
Once my eye gets to the doorway I would have liked to see some object of interest, as when my eye gets there it doesn't have anything to keep my interest. |
