Very well done Ed. Well exposed and composition reinforces the aspect of large open spaces. Superb image. |

Classic shot of the buttes in the american southwest. Distances are deceiving, but the house in the midground area on the right gives a clue as to the scale of this scene. Very well done Peter. |

My son and all of his friends would definitely agree with you and describe these types of images as "trippy" and would be looking for some wild mushrooms to view them with. |

Interesting view point Ed. Well exposed considering the overcast sky (no blue visible). With the exception of deciding where to crop, there is nothing that I can suggest to improve your image. Maybe cut your self a pair of cropping L's and examine your various cropping options. Personally, I lean towards a tighter crop emphasizing the break. |

Well done Paul. I agree with the others about possible getting closer and lower to include more sky above the tree. However that may not been possible in Arches NP due to restrictions dealing with cryptogamic soil (you have to know what it is AND what it looks like to avoid it). I have been in many of the western national parks looking for and photographing rare species and have had encounters with the law enforcement rangers and the naturalist rangers (who actually know what the rare plants look like). Talk nice and be polite and the odds are they will assist you in getting the photograph without causing any accidental damage. |

Very well done Mark and the quality of the finished image is amazing. What is nice, is that you have several options, requiring just a crop, to produce a set of images. I did a quick (not very precise) crop to illustrate. Personally, I like your full size version better and would print it large (13x19 or more) to better visualize all the detail that is present. |

Well done Darcy. I really like how you were able to get the teepees to look as though they are the source of light for the photo. Overall it reminds me of many of the opening scenes of old western movies (where is Randolph Scott and his horse). |

Well done Jerry. Personally I think the water in the foreground is needed but appears slightly out of focus which is distracting (could be due to reducing file to 1 Mb). Either way, it is an amazing image. |

Thank you Ed, I appreciate it. As for the contrasting colors that you mention, I got lucky. I made no attempt to choose them , but just accepted what resulted. |
