Interesting image Paul. For me the scale of the image is difficult to determine. Are these mountains or hills? Personally, I like how the river and the embankment on the left lead my eye from the bottom left corner up to the mound in the upper right corner. |

Interesting image Ed. Good use of negative space around the drop of water. For me personally, it may a bit over sharpened as some of the edges are very black (leaf edge below the drop) and to me eyes, does not look natural. There is not enough information in the image for me to identify the plant so I am not sure if the black edge should be there. |

Nice shot. Framed nicely and sharp. Very good use of the direction of light. |

Excellent image. I like the amount of detail in the rocks and clouds. Contrast not overdone. I'm impressed. |

Interesting composition and well exposed. Overall, it makes me want to ask the architect who designed it what he was trying to achieve. For me, this image raises more questions than it answers. |

Very nice symmetrical composition. I also like the contrast of the various components of the milkweed pods. The details are there and it is not over sharpened. |

Thank you Dan and Darcy.
My thoughts while composing was to find an angle that produced a good composition of what was common and easily visible to anyone walking by. It is what is visible from the sidewalk as you walk to the local Wal-Mart. Behind me is the parking lot for the store. I prefer to photograph what nature provides versus what man builds. |

Very nice image Jerry. Reminds me of an oriental compositional idea of "where do you place a single object in a picture so that any other location reduces the impact"? I think you succeeded here. |

Excellent image of agricultural america. For me, the cows almost form an angle pointing at the tractor pulling a 1 ton bale of hay behind it. I believe they are hungry and recognize the food delivery service. Colors are excellent as is the composition. Well done! |

Thanks Ed, Jean, and Jerry. I appreciate all of your comments.
There is no single point of interest as one was never intended. The cat tail leaves on the right were left in as a visual stop, otherwise (to me) my eye travels down to the corner and off the image completely. |

This image reminds me of the estuaries of the Chesapeake Bay. Well done on an overcast day. The composition is well balanced by the tree on the right versus everything on the right. |

Interesting perspective of the dunes with the mountains. Good detail aided by the side lighting to reveal the texture. Have you ever used a UV or polarizer filter to reduce the atmospheric haze in the far background? The haze exist in the desert due to the extreme distance to the Panamint mountains (over 50 miles from where you were standing). I have the same problem here in the desert of Utah. Very well done, I really like this image. |

I like you composition with the water flowing under the bridge. For me, this is framed nicely. The water in some areas is over exposed (blown out) where there is a lot of froth. One method you could try to improve the water would be to process the RAW file a second time (separately) and adjust the exposure until just the overexposed areas start to show good detail. place this new image in a separate layer UNDER this image. Creat a layer mask on the upper image and brush in the small areas that are blown out. I could not adjust you *.jpg file this way, but I created another layer with a mask from your *.jpg and did something similar to the blown out area near the bottom right edge (circled). |

Excellent exposure and composition. Nice to see that mid-day can provide good lighting. I could stay lost there for most of the day. Where is it? |
