I join Mary Ann in admiring your image, and in not recognizing what it was, until you told us. At first glance, I thought it was a gas burner on a kitchen stove. And the monochrome version is better...very crisp focus. |

Your focus and clarity are "spot on" with this shot. I like how you have used the ( de )"Saturation Tool" rather than NIK, for example. This could have been taken from a scene in "The Grapes of Wrath". The weathered truck cab and tires allow us to date this area . Very nice! |

I suppose when you captured this, you were more interested in the whales than the ice. I'm glad you caught both. I agree with the other Paul...the ice is massive, even a little scary! This shot is better, IMV, in B/W.
Nice job |

Larry Treadwell ( Group 36 )once remarked that "every photo should tell a story". I have taken that to heart. Your image has a story...and I think it is about the bench. Your bench seems to be out in the middle of nowhere. It is remote, seemingly desolate! So why would anyone use it? What is the appeal of this lonely bench? I really like how you have placed the storm clouds, the water and the bench together.
This photo reminds me of a scene in the movie, "The French Lieutenant's Woman"
Nice job, here |

I did not intend to have any "green" remain. This is what happened when I chose not to use NIK Silver Efex. But that's what turned out
Thanks for your comments. |

Wonderful example of light/shadow! At first glance, I thought you were in the Badlands. Your f/14 has captured the texture nicely! Are those "hiking" paths on the ridges? |

I really like how you have "stopped" the race car and allowed the motion blur in the background! The car is crisp and well focused. And yes, the Mono enhances the motion! Well done |

This is one of "anyone's best", not just yours! The colors you have produced are extraordinary. And what camera did you use to allow for a 5-shot HDR?
Really good shot! |
