Your comment regarding "the person behind the boat "is well said. Often, I forget these details. I need to review my images before posting them, to insure I have cleaned up my shot. Good reminder! |

Mysterious! Often, I will study the image before reading the narration. This one had me wondering..."is it a magnificent Concert Hall...or a launch pad? Wonderful focus (at f1/15, you have a steady hand) Good contrast, exposure, composition.
Well done |

I understand your comment. At first, I cropped out everything, leaving only the "Wise Man". But without the broader view, which included these two partial figures, the image itself did not reveal the story of the building...the Cathedral! |

Your image reminds of the movie, "The Bishops's Wife"...the first one with Loretta Young and Cary Grant! ( BTW, this is a good time of year to watch that movie) You portray lots of energy and action on a cold winter's night! I like this! |

The boat is so good, so captivating, I wish you had excluded the left third and the bottom quarter of the frame. Those pieces do not contribute to the power of the boat. Texture is excellent...the tilt of the boat makes for mysterious stories! Well done |

This, IMV, is what B/W photography is supposed to be. Your use of light/shadow, texture, contrast, and composition is marvelous! This, is a good one. I hope you enter it in a contest. |
