I have stood where you were standing when this shot was taken! Ed's comment about over saturation suggests he has not been there. Ed, the hills are actually that red!
Nice marriage of red, white and blue! Well done |

I must agree, first with Dawn ( Star of the Show comment), then with Neil (colors are rich and absorbing)! Do you have/use De-noise and Sharpener s/w. The more you show of the reflection pool, the better the image becomes. |

Ed, you flatter me!! When I search for old, dilapidated barns and out-buildings I first seek Texture. You have certainly found wonderful texture, here. Your image might improve if you were to zoom in, show more barn, more texture, and less hill. While you can't reshoot this shot, next time try getting closer, using something in the 10-20 mm range. Keep up your experiments...well done! |

Ed may have said it best..."SIMPLICITY" It is beautiful.
You have a gift for the coloration of clouds and sky...BTW, the vignette was a great idea. I have questions understanding your use of HDR! When I shoot HDR, the variable is aperture. In yours, it appears that SS is the variable. Could you explain?
IMV, the star of your show is the tree silhouette. But a close supporting role goes to your pink and yellow clouds. Well done. |

"Masterful"
I believe great photographs are plotted...planned. You demonstrate great creativity in the planning of this image. And I am glad you captured and retained the lightning. IMV, it adds to the authenticity of your image.
And regarding this kind of adventure; should you decide to do it again, make sure your affairs are in order!! Well done. |
