I left it dark, because "dark" is what that place looks like when the sun goes down! |

Ed, your monitor may be doing just fine. The image is underexposed...it should be...it was sunset. The color of the ferns realy isn't yellow..."dull brown" would be more accurate. |

I did not use the word "yellow". I see from the comments, above, that Jeffery used it, followed by Dawn, then Ed. And the image is underexposed...it was sunset, with sun behind me. You correctly noted that light was falling on trees further back, but not up front. Again, it was sunset and a mountain was blocking sun on the place where I was standing. Good eye to notice! |

The cliffs IMV are the main character in this finely exposed, properly focused image. Your desire to emphasize the contrast between moss-covered cliffs and the plains, could be more pronounced by removing the asphalt road. The road and auto traffic tend to modernize the image and detract from the beauty of the ancient rocks! The lighter, then darker greens you present in your cliffs are excellent. Well done. |

This is a very interesting image, Ed. You have captured the river depositing silt into the bay and the current that carries it further downstream; two parallel bridges, only a few yards apart, and a cluster of homes built near the water's edge. There is a story, here. Why the "two" bridges? And do/did the inhabitants of the homes work "water related" jobs? Further up the hill, I see larger homes...no doubt built after the smaller ones below! What's the history of Lyle, WA?
This good image might be improved if De-Hazing were applied to the sky, and a cloning/healing tool applied to the weeds in the foreground. Well done. |

What a Great shot! You leave no doubt as to "the Stars" of the show. You could not have paid them to pose any better! Exposure, clarity, texture...all spot on! Well done! |

You are becoming a PP pro! And like Jeffrey, I thank you for itemizing your steps. Exposure is good...color is great...and I really like the swirling effect in the water.
Well done!

The Hits just keep on coming!!
Your SS timing was perfect...great exposure w/o star trails. Light painting was a good idea. This is wonderful! |

This image is so good, we can forgive you for a blurry seagull ( and it really was not your fault ) Focus is clear...exposure is proper...good use of light/shadow...leading lines make for a great shot. If there was a way to improve upon this capture, it might be to apply de-hazing to your sky. There are clouds in upper right that are eager to reveal their detail!
Well done. |

Opps! It seems my narrative got muddled. I apologize. It should say, "This image was taken on Kebler Pass, just west of Crested Butte.
