Jeff, while I am admiring your September entry (Lighthouse), I am especially interested in your "My Kind of Place" in the Digital Dialogue. Could you take a moment and discuss how you processed the wonderful color...do you use luminosity masks? If yes, please direct me to a tutorial. Many thanks. |

These are excellent. Please consider submitting them for review at PSA...then into photo contests...really good stuff!
Oh, BTW, do you use Luminosity masks...as for your beautiful clouds. I need tutorials on Luminosity masks |

Dawn, we just received a booklet...a list of travel tours from Collette Travel. They mention a tour of Grand Canyon where they feature a photo of the Horseshoe Bend. Their image is Not Nearly as vivid as yours! |

Thank you for your nice comments. The image is a bit noisy because I shot it from a distance with an 85 mm lens, at a relatively slow SS. I'm working on using Darcy's techniques of faster SS, higher ISO. |

Great light...great image. The sunset on the bridge blends beautifully with the sky. Regarding your new technique...how fast SS? how wide open aperture ? and how low ISO. Sounds interesting. I like your bridge! |

I have a folder where I save textures and clouds, used later for backgrounds. You can use this time and again to enhance other images. This is a Keeper. Great color, great exposure. Near the horizon, your clouds seem "pinker". I like that. Did you use an adjustment layer to produce that?
Well done |

Without reading your narrative, I was convinced this was a "self portrait"!! This is not far from how I imagined you, in this post pandemic period! ( I mean this as a compliment)
"People shots" are becoming more and more interesting for me. This is a good one.
Your town's "Rhody Festival", no doubt ,attracts many colorful characters . We have biker enthusiasts passing through here, every summer. Did you happen to notice any Stugis SD decals on his Harley. It looks like you had fun with this project. Well done |

This image, once on your wall, will evoke many interesting comments from your guests. They won't know the energy you had to put forth to produce this. They'll see something seemingly simple...then ask lots of questions. This is a fun image.
Well done |

The name of the place sets the tone! Is this a Hitchcock movie, or the Hotel California? I'm glad you're experimenting with B/W. Moodiness and eeriness (Neil) are more pronounced when you tinker with B/W. Consider using a high structure or a high key filter, next time...NIK Collection has several. The gritty texture in the tree, on the left, compliments the gritty texture in the brick below your sign. Nice touch |

This is a Trophy! At first glance, I thought you had used a drone!! Your composition, focus and clarity are spot on...you have placed pinks where there should be pink! You have used long exposure, DOF, and a polarizer to create a wonderful image. Congratulations |
