93 Aug 21 Reply Yes, the spot is sun glare. I didn't notice until I had sent it in to ED. I have since used fill/content aware to remove it. This area is near Hayward, Wisconsin. Thanks for your comments Aug 26th
93 Aug 21 Reply The "back story" is how we came to find this place; and the fact that we have returned every year since 1984...with the same group of friends! Really...the same friends! This is the north woods of Wisconsin. I agree with the expression, "places don't make things happen...people do", but this place was so unlike the concrete-and-glass city life of Chicago, it allowed me to kick back, take deep breaths, drink a Leinenkugal in the middle of the day, and dream of, one day, staying more than a week a year. Think "Same Time Next Year" and "The Big Chill". Then think about reaching a time when you don't have to drive home on Sunday afternoon. I didn't stay a week this year. I stayed 3! I had arrived.

93 Aug 21 Reply I have massaged your image in B/W, (and it looks very good, BTW)but the resulting file is too large to upload for this site. I'll try figuring this out. Aug 13th
93 Aug 21 Reply Your revision is the best, yet...less blue and better visibility of the rocks. Aug 13th
93 Aug 21 Comment A two hour drive, then a 1.6 mile hike, then multiple sets of shots...I admire your energy as much as your photo skills. I prefer Original #3. The others are too blue, for me. Original #3, however, is very interesting. The orange tint, from the polluted air and the light from what appears to be a roadway compete for my attention. Thanks again for your detailed PP remarks. This is a good image.

93 Aug 21 Comment I like what you're presenting here. At first glance, I thought I was viewing a scene from The Martian...or Planet of the Apes. I don't mean that in a bad way!! I like your texture in the sand and the sheen on the driftwood. I prefer this image over the B/W alternative...but keep working on your B/W technique! Aug 11th
93 Aug 21 Reply You're correct…I made the adjustment Aug 8th
93 Aug 21 Comment F14 was a good idea! Everything is crisp, clear. Are you satisfied with the amount of foreground shown...could you live with a bit less? And did you consider this in B/W...great clouds. For me, the clouds are the story...lots going on. And the smoke belching from the plant? What sort of plant?
I like this.
