Thanks for your comments. Others have made similar notes, and I understand. However, I took the shot intending to show "dark, damp, chilly" ! We hadn't seen the sun in three days. Dark/damp is what I wanted to show the folks, back home. |

I'm glad you left the person in your photo. I tells me just how vast are the dunes ! |

The explanation is as vivid as the shot. I know what you mean...I have done the same thing ( not checking settings before the shot) Did anyone get a picture of you sprawled on the asphalt!!!! |

The title says it all! The image is peaceful, pastoral, all American!
But the message here is, "when the cows come home"...it should be about the cows! My eye is drawn first to the bright white barn door, then to the bright white fence, center right. It appears you had plenty of light. Why the need for such a high ISO? |

Thanks, Jerry. Until you mentioned it, I didn't even notice the tress/bushes on the far right. I like your cropping. Her mood was solitude and peace. She was delighted to be out of the house...no gloom! |

Michael...help me understand your technique, here. Did you first create a duplicate layer and make exposure adjustments, then make a layer mask? This is good stuff! |

Darcy, it took me several visits to this photo before I realized I was viewing the "underbelly" of a bridge. Once I got passed that, the image made more sense! I regret you wanted to "stop the motion" of the stream. This has all the trappings of a great, flowing, long shutter speed shot. |

Jerry, the image is too good to pass up. It had to look wonderful, through your viewfinder. I agree there is too much noise. May I ask why you chose to shoot with such a high ISO. |

Amazing! Great color, perfect exposure. I especially like seeing the water flowing right into you. You got lost in a wonderful spot! |
