Thanks for the update. It looks almost the same. I like it lighter but not as light as the original. Just personal preference; you don't need to make a change again. |

The two photographers with their gear suggest that this train might be special. The conductor's replacement is nice, but it doesn't really tell us much about the story, in my view. |

Thanks for pointing out the halos! From now on, I'll zoom in on my original image during post-processing to check for those and see if I can find more areas to tweak. |

Thanks for your thoughts! I appreciate your idea of using subtle toning, and your version really brought out more details about the building. My initial idea was to make the whole image more dramatic to play with those oddly shaped clouds, while also trying to make the structures pop. As I mentioned before, I experimented with different versions, but I don't think I can surpass Ed's work, now plus yours. :-) |

Thanks for your comments. Ed did a wonderful editing from the color version and converted to monochrome. Due to the clouds over the buildings and the time of the day most of the building didn't have the interial lights turned on at the time it is hard to reveal more details of the buildings. I tried various versions, the contrast would be to strong or not enough to make the image remain natural. |

I tried different edits on the color version and converted it to BW. I don't think I can make a better one than yours. :-) |

With 2 photographers having tripods set up, it is kind of telling the viewers that the coming train is not just a commuter or freight train but a train with some significant story/history behind it. |

Thanks so much for your wonderful editing. I tend to have issues leveling the horizontal line when I snap the images on the go during my group trips. One of the drawbacks of group trips (non-photography) is the lack of time to prep for proper shots. |

Thanks for clarifying. Yes, I notice your BW version is from "original". I like it too, but like Robert's version more as it shows more contrast. |

I like this one, and I think you can crop the bottom a little bit more. |

Very beautiful image, like a painting. I am curious why you present this beautiful image in portrait format vs landscape format. |

Nice and interesting angle for this staircase. I like the original (not original 2), and Robert's version too.

Nice image. Personally, I prefer the lighter color of the grasses area, maybe not as light as the original but slightly darker. |

I also like this more than last month's image because the slight diagonal leading line made the image more interesting. I agreed with Robert retaining the people from the original image. Perhaps you can use an adjustment layer mask to reduce the smoke around the crossing sign. |

It is beautiful and challenging to capture this scene as it contains so many complicated details. I modified yours with dark vignette; I hope that will lead the viewer's eyes to focus more on the center to reduce distractions from things surrounding these ladies. |

It is an interesting image. I like your original that includes another filament. I assumed you want to make the one you chose to stand out. If that is the case, I suggest you cut out the faded/darken side on the left and make a 1x1 frame. |
