Beautiful image!! It is tricky to photograph snow and ice. I agreed it is a little too blue. What is your original image looks like? Did you crop both sides? Just for fun of it I used PS generated expand and made a horizontal version of your image. |

Same as Robert, my eye goes to the streamers too before goes to the main subjects. Attached is my edited version with high contrast and remove/generated fill (PS 2025). |

Very good capture of these two birds 'in action' and Ed did a great editing!! The left most partial bird can be cropped but is it allow to remove object(s) in the original for competition? I wonder how judge can determine if any object(s) was/were removed from the original as PS 2025 can remove/generated fill (content aware fill) with perfection. |

I had 'backlit' in mind that's why this was shot against the bright light.
I used iPhone Macro mode, handheld f/2.2 with RAW format. However, it is tricky to export Apple photo RAW format as it will exported as 'heic', 'DNG', or 'JPEG' file format depending on your setting in Camera and Photo app on your iPhone. Photoshop 2025 RAW new feature does not support 'heic' format and 'JPEG' format file. "DNG" is RAW but a smaller size file form the original. While using RAW format on iPhone, you need to keep in mind the space of your phone and your iCloud storage (you can turn if off if you don't want to upload big file to iCloud). RAW files will used up your storage quickly. |
