Great concept. I however am distracted by the two stems that are the focus point. Great impressionist image if you could maybe remove the stems in front. |

I also like the original better. You do see more detail in the edited version IMO though I feel the seagull is the story |

I have to say great composition. I like the leading line of the black table that is slighty blurred. This leads me right back to the cluster of three people. Thanks for sharing I also look forward to more street photography |

Your images always draw emotions from me. I understand the reason that your foreground is so vast. Thuis makes mee uncomfortanle. I think it is because in my mind it feels like I am on the boat with you. This image does capture the enormous size of the islands. |

Thank you so much. It is always great to draw people into an image. I am taking some photoshop/editing/artistic classes from Blake Rudis and he is all about bringing emotion out of an image. His first suggestion is to take notes when you are on scene. ie what did you see, how does this make you feel. I know I exposed for the sky which did cause the foreground to be way under exposed I knew the potential was there and I wanted to share it. |

Thank you. I am getting the vibe that the haze seems to be too much. From my memory it was an extremely hazy morning. I want to say I was horribly disappointed when I did not catch the sunburst. I will agree with everyone this made it way better than the sunburst. |

I have to say I am sorry I did not respond to last month's submissions.
Thank you for your compliment. I am striving to get better with every image. I will use your advice on converting it to BW, this actually makes sense.
I over did the process of toning down the sun and actually used both. I did a radial filter in ACR and did not like how that turned out. So I tried and fixed it by adding a gradient fill using the radial style.
Thank you

The haze was left there because that is what I remember seeing. I am trying to help people see what I saw at the time I took the photo. I have to say that the right side of the frame was set that way in the composition because I thought it worked.
Thank you |

I like the longer exposure also. I have to say your composition and everything about this image is amazing. Great job. It is fun seeing your growth as a photographer. |

Thank you. I am one person who in the beginning of my photography I was not at all skilled with post processing. So if I wanted to shoot something and it needed a filter, I had to try to use them.
I did use a tripod. I have not learned how to bracket. My husband shot film so he was familiar with using filters. I think it is what a person learns.
I hope this answers your question. |
